Reflect & Reform

At this time of year, I like to take a break from the 🌎 , the business and the busyness, the to do list and the holidays, the kids and the activities, and all the distractions in between.
I retreat - sometimes that's in my living room. Other times it's in a hotel or a cabin in the woods. I take a break to reflect on, evaluate, and learn from the year that's coming to a close. I dream and make plans for the year ahead. I focus on my mission and my vision for the future. With a notebook and a pen in hand and my computer nearby, I move through each area of my business. I block out at least a day for this. Sometimes circumstances demand that I break it into chunks. Whatever the arrangement, I rest and fuel up to make my mind work at its best, because this process will be no small feat!
Here's a quick preview of the categories I move through, each with 4+ reflection questions:
📈 Finances: What can I learn from this year's budget & actuals and apply to next year's goals?
🎨 Product & Client Mix: Was the mix I offered the right balance of the work I love and work that is profitable?
🤝 Relationships: Did I show up in a way I can be proud of? How would I like to interact differently?
📊 Marketing: What worked this year? What fell flat? What tweaks can I reapply?
💡 Team & Leadership: Am I creating a great place to work? Am I a person I'd like to work for?
🗓 Operations: What systems can be altered to make daily work easier, faster, or more effective?
✨ Self: Am I living a full-bodied life? What adjustments can I make to get closer to it?
All told, I move through 54 questions on which to build the next year. Want to see the full list for YOUR next REFLECT & REFORM retreat? Download the Free PDF at thepivotx.com/reflect-reform-pdf.
